To many artists comic books were the first exposure to image making – here is your opportunity to reconnect with these roots!
GAGE member, Arlene Nesbitt, has created a comic book cover to celebrate her hero uncle Norman with a photo from the family album made into a cartoon for this exhibition.
Johanne Hemond also submitted a piece for the show, titled Super Kid: Saving One Child at at Time.
CO-MIX opens Friday, Aug. 15 ( 7-10:30 pm), & Saturday, Aug. 16 ( 10 am -5 pm ) in conjunction with the Integrate Arts Festival. The show runs to August 30.
