Marilyn Chapman’s painted hubcap from LandfillArt’s Reclamation Project has been chosen to be part of a touring international museum exhibition, On the Road Again: Celebrating America’s Love of the Automobile. The LandfillArt Collection was conceived by Kenneth Marquis from Pennsylvania, who invited artists from all over the world to brainstorm a discarded hubcap into art, resulting in a collection of 1041 works of art from 50 countries. This project delivers an important, powerful environmental message about the times we live in through the voice of the artists and builds a powerful message of sustainable green living and the transformative power of art.

One of seventy hubcaps recently selected from this collection of transformed metal canvases, Marilyn’s work will tour North American museums over the next 2-3 years as part of the exhibition, On the Road Again, sponsored by the Humanities Exchange, a non-profit organization that facilitates the touring of international exhibitions and assists a worldwide audience of museums, art centers, universities, libraries, corporations, foundations and other cultural organizations.
