Title: I Still Have a Few Questions, By: Margo Cooper
GAGE GALLERY COMMUNITY PROJECT
CHALLENGE CRISIS WITH CREATIVITY
Welcome to week 11 - the final week of the Challenge Crisis with Creativity project, our invitation to all of you to express what you are going through during COVID-19.
Your creative response to our weekly calls over the last ten weeks has been phenomenal:
So far we received more than 300 works by 116 artists of all ages documenting this unprecedented time in all our lives. Thank you for participating and for helping others by showing us a part of yourself!
We can’t wait to re-open our Gallery doors on June 23 to exhibit selected art works you created in our physical Gallery in ‘Challenge Crisis with Creativity - The Exhibition’. Mark your calendars!
Looking ahead, please share with us what you need to express for this week’s prompt:
'Where Do We Go From Here?'
Creative expression heals, and sharing it with others connects. In this time of isolation and uncertainty we want to bring the community together and help people focus on something fun. Draw, paint, doodle, sculpt or write a poem at home about what you are experiencing because of COVID-19. You don’t need to be an artist - everybody’s contribution is welcome. Take a photo of your creation and and send it to us. I you wish, provide a short description of your work. Invite your kids to participate. Our weekly prompt will help you get inspired.
Entries get published on the Gage Gallery Website and onto our social media platforms.
Please email a photo of your creation to Ashley Riddett at:

Ashley is a University of Victoria Art History and Visual Studies graduate student. She is leading the project and will curate the exhibition.
We are looking forward to hearing from you and seeing your entries.
Stay healthy and safe,
The Gage Gallery Artists
